Each year MHP contributes and leverages funding to improve the quality of life of local people, using our resources to:
Our dedicated community investment team seeks to enhance community potential by investing in people: children, older people, families, vulnerable individuals, young people, and BAME (Black Asian and Minority Ethnic) groups to name but a few.
We connect with our residents by involving them in the activities and the issues that are most relevant to them. In doing so, we aim to understand their aspirations, and to help them onto pathways to develop their potential. Providing opportunities for them to bring new and existing skills and qualifications to support their communities, through volunteering and work experience, is key. We encourage residents to make a lasting difference in their communities by increasing their ability to undertake ambitious projects such as running community centres.
The Community Investment team works to improve the quality of life of our residents by strengthening and developing sustainable communities with a focus on the following themes:
Celebrating the diversity of our residents and encouraging mutual respect and co-operation; we tackle inequality, isolation and poverty through community-building projects and inclusion programmes.
Helping individuals fulfil their potential through sustainable employment. Through our Work Insight programme we encourage and support our residents to develop their skills and capabilities through volunteering, training and work experience. We offer employment and experience within Metropolitan Housing Partnership, and across our supply chain.
Through promoting engagement through sporting activities and healthy living MHP supports its residents in leading more active and healthy lifestyles by delivering wellbeing projects that enhance emotional, mental, and physical health.
Striving to maximise the potential of children and young people, equipping them with new skills, and opening up opportunities for positive and engaging activities that allow them to thrive.
