We like to reward excellence at MHP. The money we pay our people reflects their hard work and the complexity of their role. We'll review your salary annually to take account of inflation and also reward performance through increments and (for more senior roles) performance-related pay. In addition, e xceptional performers can be nominated for achievement awards of up to 11.5% of salary.
Our Social Housing Pension Scheme is open to all members of staff and is the leading pension scheme in the UK for those working in the not for profit sector.
We recognise that travelling to work can be expensive, so we can help you spread the cost of your annual season ticket.
Including sabbaticals, health screening, child care vouchers and discounts on gym membership, insurance, travel and cinema.
We offer a competitive annual leave package, plus eight public holidays and two additional ‘MHP Days’ thrown in for free!
A work/life balance is important to us at MHP. Some of our people work from home full-time or part of the week. For some roles, hours may be more rigid, but we’ll always consider flexible options.
As well as taking part in our comprehensive corporate induction programme, an individual induction will be constructed for you. We want to make sure that you get off to as strong a start within this complex business as you possibly can. Your performance will be formally reviewed at three months and again at six months and, if you’re doing your job, you’ll be confirmed in post.
You can expect to meet with your manager roughly every six weeks to discuss you’re getting on with the job. Your annual review will look at your past performance, agree objectives and review your personal development and training needs.
We sponsor staff studying for qualifications in management, housing, building, marketing and support work and encourage all of our people to apply for horizontal or vertical career development whenever they feel ready.
