We recognise that sustainability is key to our long term stability and success. The Partnership shares a common goal to give our customers a better deal in society, whilst recognising the need to protect and enhance the environment through its own and others’ activities.
As a socially minded, not-for-profit organisation, sustainability is at the heart of all that we do. From developing and maintaining homes to supporting and caring for our customers, the challenge is to find better ways of working that are more efficient, deliver a better service to our customers and minimise our impact on the environment.
We have had a corporate commitment to sustainability since 2004. Our commitment is outlined in our latest Sustainability Strategy 2010-13.
We have now published our fourth annual report on sustainability. For the first time, this year it is part of a new social responsibility report. The report demonstrates the progress we are making in providing high quality affordable homes and services for our customers in a sustainable manner that values the diversity of its communities and staff. The latest (year two) report of MHP’s three-year study into the impact of energy efficiency features in new and retro-fitted homes is available to download from here.
