Spirita appoints new Managing Director

Sheila HydeMetropolitan Housing Partnership (MHP) has announced the appointment of Sheila Hyde as the new Managing Director of Nottingham-based Spirita Ltd, one of the largest providers of housing and associated services in the East Midlands.

A member of the Metropolitan Housing Partnership, Spirita was formed in 2007 through the merger of Rushcliffe Homes, Metropolitan Housing Trust (Midlands) and The Walbrook Group. Prior to the merger, Ms Hyde was Chief Executive of Rushcliffe Homes and last year she moved to Cambridge as Interim Managing Director of Granta Housing Society Ltd, another member of MHP.

Speaking after her appointment was confirmed by Bill Payne, Chief Executive of MHP, a delighted Ms Hyde said: “This is a thrilling opportunity and I’m looking forward to working with our residents, Board Members and the excellent team at Spirita to further develop our services.

“Our focus will be firmly sighted on the delivery of good quality customer services and community involvement that meet the needs and expectations of our residents.”

Bill Payne added: “This is an exciting and challenging role, for which we needed an outstanding individual. Sheila’s appointment follows a comprehensive assessment and interview process and I feel sure that we have found the right person to take the helm as Spirita moves forward.''
