Metropolitan Home Ownership (MHO), part of the Metropolitan Housing Partnership (MHP), won the Affordable Housing Provider of the Year award at the First Time Buyer Magazine Readers awards.

The awards used industry experts, a panel of readers and a public online vote to determine the best affordable housing projects in the UK. As well as being highly commended in four categories, MHO won the top prize and was awarded Affordable Housing Provider of the Year at the ceremony in London yesterday, Thursday 22nd April.

Bernie Conroy, Director of Sales and Marketing at MHO, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled that our hard work in helping people into homes of their own has been recognised by both housing experts and the public. It means a lot to us to know that our customers and potential customers have had a say in this award. It proves our leadership in helping low to moderate income families get the new homes that they want, and we’d like to thank all the housing providers, local authorities and other business partners we work with who have helped us achieve this award.”

The First Time Buyer Magazine Reader Awards Affordable Housing Provider of the Year recognises the organisation that has shown innovation in the way they design, build and market their products as well as offering a variety of services which can help the reader onto the property ladder.

MHO and MHP teams were also highly commended in four categories:

  • Greatest contribution to diversity outreach
  • Best large development for Cordwainer House, Hackney
  • Most eco-aware project for One Earth Homes, Upton, Northamptonshire
  • Best urban regeneration project for Inspiration, Chalkhill, Wembley.
