Neil Mawson, Director of Metropolitan Housing Partnership London

Since joining MHP in 1998, Neil has overseen the merger of north and north west London into the current North Thames region and worked towards the integration of its development team with MHO to form the London Development Services. In April 2005 he was appointed as the chair of MHP's Housing Services Directors Group responsible for improving all of MHP's core management and maintenance services.

After graduating with a Bsc (Hons) in social policy, Neil started his working life as a trainee assistant area housing officer for Kensington Housing Trust moving on to become a development and maintenance manager. After 17 years with Kensington HT, Neil joined LB Hackney to run the Comprehensive Estates Initiative (CEI) - the country's leading estate regeneration programme. Before joining MHP, Neil was the Head of ERCF Programmes and the Housing Regeneration Section, LB Hackney.

Neil's interests outside work include maintaining his allotment and eating its produce. He also enjoys travel, reading and art.

As Regional Director for North Thames, Neil wants to focus on making MHP a great place for residents to live and for staff to work.
