Community investment

Our residents and service users are the driving force behind all our community investment activities. By working with them, we support activities which:
  • improve the quality of life of local people
  • reduce isolation and poverty
  • develop the potential of children, young people and adults
  • make places safer and greener
  • sustain and develop community groups and organisations.

In the past year, we have worked with residents to:
  • provide training bursaries
  • help parents make communities safer
  • organise sports events
  • connect our staff with local communities
  • create sustainable community projects
  • improve residents' environments
  • make citizenship matter to young people
  • help residents make ends meet
  • connect generations.

The central Community Investment Unit supports and informs an expansion of work within the businesses and helps increase the profile of community investment within and beyond the Partnership.
