Metropolitan Housing Partnership get residents involved

Residents of Metropolitan Housing Partnership (MHP) have been invited to attend a conference dedicated to resident involvement. The first of its kind, it takes place Saturday 29 March 2008 at the British Library London.

The conference comes out of a recent resident survey which explored levels of resident involvement and satisfaction. An expected 175 residents will be attending to discuss the findings and plans for the future of MHP resident involvement.

Guest speaker Micheal Gelling, Chair of the Tenants and Residents Organisations of England, will be speaking on the future of resident involvement and the role of housing associations. Residents will also have the opportunity to have a question and answer session with the Chief Executive of MHP, Bill Payne.

Francis Brazil, Resident Involvement Strategy Manager, says "This is the first annual RI conference dedicated to involvement. We will build on the successes and what we learn from this one to improve future ones and help to raise the profile of RI throughout MHP. As a measure of success we will hope to see enthusiastic residents returning to their local groups with a new impetus to work in partnership with MHP".
