Vote now for Metropolitan Housing Partnership's sustainable future
Metropolitan Housing Partnership (MHP) has launched its first online sustainability strategy review, giving customers, staff and stakeholders the chance to influence the organisation's direction on sustainability.
The online survey seeks opinions on prioritising MHP’s sustainability work across three key areas - people, existing homes and new homes. The results of the vote, which is open until the end of 2009, will be used to inform the review of MHP's sustainability strategy in the New Year.
MHP has a corporate commitment to sustainability, and this commitment has been supported by a comprehensive strategy since 2004. In the last five years, the sustainability agenda has progressed significantly, with legislated targets on climate change, a global economic downturn and rising levels of fuel poverty. To keep their work relevant and up-to-date MHP are reviewing their strategy with input from all people who are connected to the Partnership.
"The views of our customers, staff and key stakeholders are essential in keeping our work on sustainability relevant," said Matthew Bush, MHP's Sustainability Manager. "Sustainability can be as simple as embracing new ways of working. Our online strategy vote is just one example of how we are doing this."
The vote was launched alongside MHP's annual report, "Our Sustainable Future", which looks at some best practice examples of sustainability exhibited across the Partnership over the last twelve months.
