Bill Payne – Chief Executive

Bill Payne is a Housing Manager and Chartered Surveyor and was employed as the Chief Executive of Yorkshire Housing Group from 1999. Prior to this he was the Chief Executive of Yorkshire Metropolitan, a founder of the Group, from 1989. Before this Bill was Chief Executive of Moat Housing Society, and he has also worked for housing associations in London, Kingston upon Hull, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Manchester.

Bill is a Past President of the Chartered Institute of Housing, and has worked in the housing association sector for over 30 years. Bill was Chair of Homeless International from 1997 – 2005, and remains on their Council of Management. Bill is married with three children who have all left home (thank goodness!).

Bill joined us in February 2008.
