David Hoy – Non Executive Director
Appointed to the MHP Board and Chair of Metropolitan Living Ltd. in 2008. David qualified as a Certified Accountant (FCCA) prior to joining Guinness (now Diageo Plc.) in 1968.
He has fulfilled a number of senior management roles within Diageo including many years as MD of their publishing subsidiary, which is best known for the Guinness Book of Records. He was subsequently based in America for 3 years and involved in property development for of the Gleneagles Hotel and Champneys Health Resort brands. He then moved on to Nigeria, as Commercial Director, in a financial governance role in the company’s 3 breweries there and was involved in developing management control systems for them.
Since his return to the UK, David has been heavily committed for the last 10 years, latterly as Diageo’s Property Development Director, to the redevelopment of the 80 acre Guinness Brewery site in West London. David is also on the Boards and Governance Committees of Think London Ltd., West London Business Ltd., and Park Royal Partnership Ltd.
